Hong Kong Cat Refuge (HKCR) was founded in 2006 and was registered as a society on the 29th January 2008. Currently it is managed out of the home of a very generous cat lover near Tuen Mun in the New Territories, Hong Kong.
The Principles of HKCR are:
1. Trap, neuter and rehome/release stray cats and dogs.
2. Help desex the cats that come into our care.
3. Provide them with shelter and eventually a permanent home.
4. Find a suitable and responsible family for the cats in our care.
5. If needed, provide the cats with medical treatment.
6. Educate the pubic of animal welfare, and the relationship between humans and animals.
7. Educate and prevent animal cruelty.
During the past 3 years Jane has desexed more than 1,000 stray cats. The following video explains the work we are doing. If you cannot view the video below, please click on the following links:-

In order to fund all our costs, we have a fundraising booth at the Siu Lam Flea Market every Sunday. We sell donated goods such as bags, toys, household appliances, electronic products, cosmetic products, books, clothes, shoes etc. We would be very grateful for all donations.
